PHILROCKS123 REINSTATEMENT STRIKE
  direleif, Nov 25 2007

I am appalled at how the liquidpoker community is treating philrocks123. All he did was come here for some advice and the community just laughed at him and banned him for speaking his mind! I think we should apologize to philrocks123 and give him another chance!

I'll bet philrocks123 was just going on a real life downswing...
he was taking a lot of emotional bad beats...
he'd push all in with happiness and get runner runnered by despair and misery...
his pocket pair of good times and good people and would be outflopped by top two pair anger and no fun at all...
etc...

So how about we give philrocks123 another chance, in the spirit of the holiday season... lets not be grinches. To prove that I support what I'm saying, I am going on a liquidpoker posting STRIKE until philrocks123's account is justly reinstated. I won't post anything during this period. I encourage fellow LPers to do the same.

Sincerlely,

direleif

HIJACKED!!!
  direleif, Nov 15 2007

So philrocks123 came over to my house to eat some taquitos and while I was busy he snuck on my computer and HIJACKED MY ACCOUNT!!!

He bought into penny table hi/lo for $1 and ran it up to $4, mostly on a donk call with low set when two people had straight and hitting a diiiiiirrrttty low.

AND IF THAT WASNT BAD ENOUGH, he then took $1 to NL holdem and push all in preflop with pocket kings! Someone called him with A-10 unsuited and hit two pair !!

I've learned another important lesson. While taquitos may be very delicious:

DONT LET YOUR ACCOUNT BE HIJACKED!!!

DOWN TO $6.55
  direleif, Nov 14 2007

Ladies and gentleman, I regret to be the bearer of bad news, but my quest has taken a sharp nose swan dive plunge into the murky depths of the losing money pool.

Day 2 I was feeling pretty confident after getting up to eleven bucks, that I decided to multitable. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of buying in for the pokerstars default, $3 on the first two. What the hell! , I thought.. can't hurt too much right? Whats a few extra bucks buy in... then the third table I decided: What the hell! I'll just go max.. $5!! It'll be sweet! , I thought. Big stack to push around the fishies!

LITTLE DID I KNOW that those extra bucks would be EXTRA devastating in the hand of doom that came up...

I was playing fairly tight as normal, won some small pots on some tables, lost some small pots on others. The one table I bought in for $5 I was up just a few pennies. I figured since I had a large stack, I could afford to see flops for 2 cents and then fold if I missed or cash big if I hit a good hand, since bad players would call me down.

HERES WHAT HAPPENED:

IMAGINE MY SHOCK, when my opponent rolls over basically my exact hand, but with 9s instead of 10s!

As he raised me on the river, the back of my mind said "Gee, I hope he doesnt have kings or nines! Maybe just flat call, you have to realize your bankroll can't take big swings!"

Then the front of my mind was like "Naw... no way he'd play kings so slow, and nines is soo unlikely. Probably has full house with the nines! Hahahaha sucker! Pop it up already direleif! Damn think of how cool your blog will be when you show how bad you outplayed this sucker!!!!"

-$3.34 from that hand alone: almost 30% of my bankroll!! I went on mini tilty and lost a little bit more before I decided to call it quits.

Needless to say, I've learned my lesson. Next session I will buy in for no more than $2, probably more like $1.

Until next time..
